Catastrophes naturelles

Natural catastrophes are extreme natural events that result in significant damage, destruction, or disruption to the environment, human life, and property. These events are typically recognized for their severity and can include phenomena such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and wildfires. Natural catastrophes often lead to humanitarian crises, economic losses, and ecological changes, impacting communities and ecosystems. They can occur suddenly, as in the case of earthquakes and tornadoes, or develop over time, such as droughts and hurricanes. In many contexts, the term also encompasses the responses and recovery efforts initiated to address the aftermath of such events.
