Irak

Iraq is a country located in Western Asia, bordered by Turkey to the north, Iran to the east, Kuwait to the southeast, Saudi Arabia to the south, Jordan to the southwest, and Syria to the west. The capital city is Baghdad. Iraq has a rich cultural heritage, historically known as part of Mesopotamia, often referred to as the “cradle of civilization,” due to its early contributions to writing, law, and urbanization. The country has a diverse population, primarily consisting of Arab and Kurdish ethnic groups, and it is home to significant religious communities, including Shia and Sunni Muslims, as well as Christians and others. Iraq’s economy largely depends on its oil reserves, which are among the largest in the world. The nation has experienced considerable political and social turmoil, particularly in the 20th and early 21st centuries, including conflicts and wars that have shaped its contemporary landscape.
