Droit international

“Droit international” is the French term for “international law.” It refers to a set of rules, agreements, and treaties that are binding between countries and govern the relations between them. International law encompasses a wide range of issues, including but not limited to human rights, humanitarian law, environmental law, trade regulations, and diplomatic relations. It is designed to promote peace, security, and cooperation among nations and to provide a framework for resolving disputes. International law can be divided into two main categories: public international law, which deals with the relationships between states and international organizations, and private international law, which addresses conflicts of laws across borders in private legal matters. The principles and norms established in international law are often codified in international treaties or conventions, and mechanisms for enforcement may include international courts and tribunals.
